Martin Rice Company produces Long Grain and Jasmine rice on its Southeast Missouri farm. This family operation began more than 50 years ago when the Martins settled on 160 acres in the Missouri bootheel, and with their four children, cleared the land using mules. Now, three generations later, the same family farms over 7,000 acres of prime rice-growing land. Two Men and a Garden
It all started in 2006 when a couple of Fenton neighbors merged their backyard gardens. Soon they had more produce than they could give away to family and friends, so they perfected awesome canned salsa and pickle recipes. They sold their first jar in the summer of 2010 to a local store. Tens of thousands of jars later, Two Men and a Garden have outgrown the backyard garden, but still grow ghost peppers for their hottest salsa.
