After listening to the book, “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle”, we began to really look at our food and how it is sourced. We realized that most of our eggs and chickens are mass-produced for quantity, not quality. We decided we wanted to change that, so we purchased a few laying hens and started producing our own eggs. Our friends and family asked for a dozen here and there, so we bought a few extra layers to help meet that demand.
